The 'Moebius House' is a project that places the concept of Korean Passive Housing at the heart of its design algorithms while simultaneously embracing the extravagant Gangneung landscape. The building explores the site's intimate correlation by drawing the so-called Moebius strip corresponding to the site's urban context. The projected mass forms terraces, which expand various possibilities in inhabitations and vista in relation to climate. The strip emphasizes privacy by subtly cloaking occupants through the interplay of marble verse internal layers. The exterior walls, made of high-performance thermal insulation, maximize the building's energy efficiency. While ventilation system is installed to circulate qualified clean air inside at all times.
