​대한민국 부산의 송도 해수욕장 근처에 아름다운 남해의 풍경을 감상할 수 있는 EL 16.52 커피숍이 문을 열었다. EL은 해발고도를 뜻하는 약자로, 카페 이름인 EL 16.52는 카페 건물의 1층 고도를 나타내는 16.52미터를 의미한다. 카페는 수풀이 우거진 숲과 깎아져 내리는 듯한 절벽으로 이루어진 암남공원 한가운데에 자리잡고 있다. 암남 공원은 10억년 전에 형성된 퇴적암으로 이루어진 국립자연공원으로, 부산 시민들에게 천혜의 자연 환경을 즐길 수 있는 필수적인 공간이기도 하다. 카페 건물은 지형적 특징과 바다, 육지의 다채로운 매력을 온전히 감상할 수 있는 형태로 설계되었다. 실험적인 라인과 유기적인 형태, 눈길을 사로잡는 반원 아치가 균형을 이루면서 전체적인 건물 디자인에 역동적인 힘을 더해준다.

The café is located in the heart of Amnam Park, surrounded by dense forest and dramatic cliff formations. Amnam Park is a national natural park composed of sedimentary rock formed over one billion years ago, and it serves as an essential place for Busan citizens to enjoy its exceptional natural environment.

The café building was designed to fully embrace the site’s topographical features and the diverse attractions of both sea and land. Experimental lines, organic forms, and eye-catching semi-circular arches are carefully balanced, adding a dynamic energy to the overall architectural design.
